MONTALVILLO VINEYARD
A LARGE ESTATE IN THE EAST OF THE RIOJA AREA
The 400 hectares of the Finca Montalvillo estate occupy a large area on the side of the Sierra de Yerga, at the eastern end of the Rioja PDO.
This broad, open landscape with views across the entire Ebro valley is defined by its altitude, mountainous climate, history and exceptional winegrowing qualities.
Montalvillo, its vines and its wines are part of our future horizon.
HIGHLANDS IN THE EAST OF THE RIOJA WINE AREA
Finca Montalvillo is situated on the slopes of the Sierra de Yerga, one of the spurs of the Sistema Ibérico mountain range.
Yerga marks the eastern boundary of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja and therefore of the Rioja Protected Designation of Origin.
Finca Montalvillo has 232 hectares of vines, over 60 of which are organically farmed or in the process of conversion.
Above and beyond what from a distance is its homogenous appearance, this estate is defined by the diversity of its soils, slopes, depths and varieties.
It has 4 varieties of red-wine grapes and 7 varieties of white.

Character, depth and harmony.
We make a range of wines created by selecting and blending grapes from the different vineyards in the estate. Three multi-variety reds plus a white made from carefully chosen white-grape varieties. Identity and expression: offering all the personality of the estate at the foot of the Sierra de Yerga.
